I house shared with Gina in Enmore. Our partners at the time were school friends. I had a Moto Guzzi v50 Monza and Gina asked me to take her on a ride as a pillion and she subsequently decided to buy one for herself. A lovely woman, intelligent, funny, creative and unconventional. Vale Gina.

Thank you so much for allowing us to participate from afar in this beautiful celebration of dear Gina. She was a great friend and a ground-breaking architect, and I feel privileged to live in spaces that she designed. I'm so sad that she is not still here, with all of us who loved her.

thanks Gaye for reading my poem so beautifully ... it was a very moving event ... so sad ... but such a wonderful life to celebrate ... I sent you some more texts from here in the US but then later realized that they hadn't sent because I didn't have a phone chip that would work ... again, thanks all for such a beautiful tribute

SO sad to hear of Gina's passing. She was such a central part of the small literary publishing scene in 1980's and 90's Sydney. There is a obituary for Gina based on these times at https://rochfordstreetreview.com/2024/09/12/vale-gina-ghioni/ Condolences to her all her family and friends

Our dear Gina,
So sad that your time was up so early.
Your spirit will live on in the beautiful house that you designed for us. We’ll continue to think about you often
and for a very long time.

I will cherish the many funny times we had together and in company over the last 40 years. A very creative and generous person who had a close relationship with our family since school days. I will miss her unique perspective on the world.

Farewell dear friend and colleague. Together with the love of family and friends your legacy includes some great buildings we worked on in Sydney. Always with a sense of humour and undaunted by conventions and difficulties it was an absolute joy to work with you. I will sorely miss you and our conversations. Love, John.
