I hadn't ever thought I would be writing this as I was sure Aunt Nola was going to live forever.
Nola was part of my lifetime family memories from three or four years of age.
Nola and Keith would come around to my parents home around Christmas time most years, arriving in a new flash European car. This was exciting to me as our family didn't have a car. My brother and I were always excited to see them as they always gave us the best educational presents.
Unfortunately life and long distance living locations can get in the way for frequent catch up's in person, but my wife and I were fortunate to do so in later years whenever we passed through Ballina on road trips from our Queensland home.
Nola was always keen on geniality and produced an up to date comprehensive family history for her family, which gave me a much greater understanding of our family tree.
