Dear Scotty and family, it is with much sadness that I learn of Aunty Shirley's passing. But with all good things they never last and I bet your mum is having a very long catch up with Patty... one they very rarely got to do here on earth as the years went by. My love to you at this very sad time...but you really were a spoilt little shit from my childhood... how lucky were you to have such a wonderful, beautiful, caring mother who I loved and who always welcomed us into her life with open arms. Now Patty and Shirl wont have to wait for that phone call that never comes..

It was such a privilege to have cared for you Shirley even it was for a short time. You had a beautiful laugh and smile which I'll remember the most.

I have known Shirl my entire life and I cannot recall one time we crossed paths that she didn’t make me feel like the most beautiful and special person in the world! Her amazing smile and gorgeous personality always made me smile…she was infectious. Shirley was a long time of my mum in tenterfield nsw we would always visit her house near the railway station i had some good memories

I can remember all the great times we spent together at COW107.9 radio station over the ten years or so. All the music we picked to play on a Saturday night when we on together. Shirley loved her music and she loved all her listeners even more. She was like a second mum to me. Always there to care for me, when I needed help. I will miss her dearly. Love you Shirl, will see you in the stars above
