I feel honoured and privileged to have known and served with Ted. He was an incredible man who I looked up to as a father, his knowledge and experience was amazing and I don’t think that there has been a single person in our modern Navy who has had the long lasting effect that Ted has. Every person who was trained under Teds guidance learnt something from him and will carry that lesson for the rest of their lives. My thoughts and prayers are with Margaret, Simon, Andrew and their families.
How beautiful watching this you will never be forgotten my favourite uncle ❤️❤️❤️
Margaret...our collective Navy hearts go out to you and the family. Ted is revered and always will be for all of the amazing service, professionalism and friendship he gave tu us and especially to me. An indelible mark from our first meeting at FOST in 1980. He is a man among men, a loyal shipmate and will always be remembered as such. Take care and my thoughts with you always. My very best Martyn
To Margaret, Simon, Andrew and families,
Thinking of you all at this sad moment.
Ted may be gone, but never forgotten.
We will remember him fondly as a great mate, friend and sailor.
With much love to you all…
Jo and Noel Burgess
